Winter Sun Launch

We are delighted to launch the sixth Island City Commission, Winter Sun, by Elinor O’Donovan, a digital projection on Triskel Christchurch. We were joined last night for the inaugural screening by (L-R) Elmarie McCarthy, Tourism Officer, Cork City Council; Valerie Byrne, Public Art Manager, Cork City Council; Tony Sheehan, Director, Triskel Arts Centre; Ruth Hogan, National Sculpture Factory; Elinor O’Donovan, artist; Lord Mayor Cllr. Dan Boyle; Colin Hindle, Festival Officer, Failte Ireland; Michelle Carew, Arts Officer, Cork City Council and Rebecca Loughry, Director of Services, Cork City Council. This projection will run every night from 15 October 2024 until the end of April 2025.
